It allows people relocating their normal residence to Cyprus from outside the EU to import personal belongings and a vehicle without paying import duty or VAT, provided the conditions are met.
Broadly, you must have lived outside the EU for at least 12 consecutive months and have owned and used the goods for at least 6 months before the move, and not sell or lend them within 12 months of import.
A vehicle generally needs at least 6 months of ownership and registration in your name before export, at least 6,000 km on the clock, and you must have spent fewer than 180 days in Cyprus in the previous 12 months.
